Programs for Union Members
Alliance Leadership and Policy Program
The Alliance Leadership and Policy Program (ALPP) is a two-year program created to combine individual research and political change together.
We are seeking any and all Alliance members motivated to investigate challenges facing public education while improving leadership skills and building momentum for action. This program is for people interested in:
Researching topics that affect your worksite
Diving into and dissecting a particular policy that ignites your political passion
Organizing for policy change through action research
A $1,500 stipend will be provided to those who complete the program. Program participants are required to attend monthly, virtual full-day meetings. Applications are due by Friday, October 2, 2020 by 5:00pm.
Early Career Leadership Fellows
The Early Career Leadership Fellows (ECLF) is a one-year program that aims to develop union leaders and workplace organizers.
We are seeking Alliance members who desire to build power in their workplace and community for positive political change. This program is for people under the age of 35 and within the first 5 years in your profession/trade and interested in:
Learning about your union and pathways to leadership
Developing organizing skills that will help you improve work conditions
Forming networks with other early career union members
A $500 stipend will be provided to those who complete the program. Participants are required to attend monthly, virtual cohort meetings. Applications are due by Friday, October 2, 2020 by 5:00pm.
