At the end of the first grading period, the District experienced a substantial
increase in the number of txGradebook users logged into the system at one time. This resulted in a temporary system outage and delayed the posting of the final grades for the first nine weeks. The Alliance addressed these problems through the Consultation process and the District believes it has worked with Region 20 to correct the problems. In order to reduce the potential for future system outages during critical processing times, the District has arranged to conduct a STRESS TEST of the txGradebook system on Thursday, January 12 from 3:30 – 5:30 pm.
We are urging every classroom teacher from PreK to 12 to log into txGradebook during this two-hour block of time and perform as many of the tasks as possible, including Administering Assignments, Assigning Grades, running an Attendance Report, an Assignment Grade Report, a Cycle Grade Range Report, and enter Citizenship grades and report comments. PreK and Kinder teachers are also encouraged to log in during this time block and perform some of the functions they normally do in txGradebook.
All of these activities will help to stress the system and help Region 20 and
the District ensure that the system operates in an efficient manner. If you encounter any system problems during this STRESS TEST, you are asked to
send an e-mail and report the problem to firstname.lastname@example.org.
