Ma’Lena Wirth works as a paraprofessional in Baker City, a small Oregon town of 15,000. As the only ESL para in her school district, she often felt isolated from other ESL paraprofessionals until she joined Share My Lesson, a free online resource-sharing site sponsored by the AFT and populated by union members across America and the globe.

In fact, all paraprofessionals and school-related personnel (PSRPs) are educators. From the school secretary to the bus driver and the custodian, every school employee can connect with others on Share My Lesson and trade tips with colleagues on helping students excel in school.
