The school board also approved the district dental insurance. The district is “self-funded” for the dental insurance but pays a third party to administer the plan.
Highlights of the dental insurance plan include:
- $0 option for “employee only” coverage
- Deductible is waived for preventative dental services
- Implants are covered under major dental services for replacement of any tooth lost prior or after coverage (currently covered only if lost after)
The district contributes $17.43 per employee per month for the dental plan. The employee contribution for the new plan will be as follows:
