At the SAISD Special Called School Board Meeting on July 29th, the Board unanimously approved salary increases for the 2010-2011 school year. During the meeting, school board member Carlos Villareal moved to recommend the motion and board member Olga Hernandez seconded the motion before the board unanimously approved the increase. The Alliance was the only organization to advocate on behalf of SAISD Employees for a raise by speaking out at school board meetings.
